Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new generation of the CLA, a compact luxury sedan that focuses on technological innovation and efficiency to stand out in its class.

Inspired by the EQXX prototype, the new CLA debuts with a brand-new platform (Mercedes Modular Architecture – MMA), a design similar to the previous concept, and several technological advancements, including the MB.OS operating system with an AI-based virtual assistant and Google Maps navigation.

The interior offers versions with up to three integrated screens and advanced driver assistance features, reinforcing the brand’s digital-first approach even in entry-level models.

The lineup will include both electric and combustion versions. The electric CLA 250+ and CLA 350 4Matic models feature 85kWh batteries, with an estimated range between 431 and 492 km for the former and up to 479 km for the latter, which includes all-wheel drive and enhanced performance. The 800-volt architecture allows ultra-fast charging (up to 201 km in 10 minutes), and the car is already prepared for bidirectional charging. The electric versions also include customizable sound profiles and a two-speed gearbox on the rear axle, optimizing efficiency at high speeds.

For those who still prefer combustion engines, the CLA will offer mild hybrid options with a new 1.5 turbo engine (code M252) paired with an eight-speed automated transmission. These versions promise efficiency close to that of diesel engines, eliminating the need for plug-in hybrids. The combustion models will arrive after the electric versions, with expected power outputs of 134, 161, and 188 hp.

The new CLA lineup is expected to launch officially in the coming months, with prices in the UK starting at USD 60,400.
